We're looking for Support Workers in the Trafford area. As a Mental Health Support Worker with Cera you will be playing a fundamental part in improving the lives of people with mental health conditions and a history of substance misuse. You will need to be comfortable supporting people who may at times present with challenging behaviour, training will be given. The role may include elements of personal care.

Role highlights:

  • Shift patterns consist of days or nights, part-time or full-time, we are flexible on the days you work although some weekend working is essential.
  • We can consider both drivers and non-drivers

More about the role:

  • In this role you will need to be able to communicate and promote positive behaviour, identifying triggers in order to prevent escalations of stressful situations.
  • You must also be prepared to handle emergencies and crisis situations, using de-escalatation techniques to diffuse situations.
  • You will have an awareness of and sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds and the co-occuring disorders and the how they can influence mental health and substance misuse issues.
  • You will be resilient and able to manage stress and the emotional demands of the role.
  • You should have the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, social services and community organisations to ensure the people you support get access to a full range of support services.
