Position: Field Care Supervisor - Extra Care Scheme

About the role:
To support the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to tenants within an extra care housing scheme. The Field Care Supervisor ensures care staff follow best practices and regulatory requirements, maintains service user satisfaction, and acts as a bridge between management and frontline carers.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Support
Carry out spot checks, supervision visits, and support sessions with care staff.
Monitor staff performance and adherence to individual care plans and regulatory standards.
Care Planning & Delivery
Participate in or conduct assessments and reviews of care needs.
Update and implement care plans in collaboration with service users and families.
Ensure risk assessments and support plans are up to date and followed.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding policies, and the organisation's internal procedures.
Report and escalate concerns promptly.
Complete audits, quality checks, and incident reports as required.
Training & Development
Support the induction and ongoing development of care staff.
Identify training needs and recommend improvements.
Communication
Liaise with scheme managers, external healthcare professionals, and family members.
Attend team meetings and contribute to continuous service improvement.
Person Specification:
Essential:
Experience in a supervisory role in care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding procedure
Desirable:
Experience working within extra care or housing with care
Medication administration and auditing knowledge
Understanding of person-centred planning and outcome-based support
