Complex Care Support Worker Nights

Are you looking for a role as a support worker in the Peterhead (AB42) area on night shifts?

Cera are currently looking for Support Workers to work with our clients on a 1:1 basis, including personal care. No previous experience required. You will be assisting a young male (child) with Cerebral Palsy. All aspects of personal care are required as well as oral suctioning throughout the night. Repositioning throughout the night is also required as well as companionship for the young male. PEG care - feed and medication will be required.

You will need a driving license and own vehicle.
You will provide a lifeline to the clients you visit and must be friendly and approachable. You will also have high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.

A few important details

Shifts are 10pm-8:30am
Your shifts will normally include one weekend in two
There are often overtime opportunities, but these are voluntary.
Care experience is NOT necessary, but you must be aged at least 18
You'll need a full UK driving licence, with use of a car
You'll get a mobile phone with the CERA app, so you can work safely and efficiently

In Scotland, all care staff are required to register with the Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) and ensure they maintain their annual renewals, the regulators for the social service workforce in Scotland. You must also work towards achieving your SVQ Level 2 qualification. Cera fund your qualification but there is a £55 SVQ registration fee to be paid by the employee.
