About the role:
Cera Care is one of the fastest growing, tech-enabled domiciliary care companies. As we continue our expansion, we recognise the need for a Head of Finance Systems to drive efficiency, accuracy, and automation within our finance infrastructure.
This role will be responsible for auditing and optimising our finance systems, enhancing reporting capabilities, and ensuring seamless system integrations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in improving financial data integrity, reducing manual interventions, and implementing scalable solutions that support the company's ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Systems Audit & Optimisation
Conduct a comprehensive review of existing finance systems, identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Develop and implement a Finance Systems Roadmap to future-proof finance infrastructure.
Ensure that finance systems align with business needs, compliance standards, and best practices.
Process & Automation Enhancements
Lead the implementation of automation tools to streamline workflows, replacing manual processes with AI and automated solutions.
Support invoice model reconciliation and enhance revenue recognition accuracy.
Optimise payroll and finance system integrations, ensuring smooth data flow.
Reporting & Financial Control Improvements
Improve financial reporting accuracy and timeliness, supporting taxonomy, segmentation, and chart of accounts (CoA) changes.
Oversee self-service reporting tools for operational teams, including Branch P&Ls, breakdowns, and aging analysis.
Implement system-driven controls to reduce reliance on manual reconciliations and interventions.
System Integration & Governance
Work closely with IT and operational teams to integrate key finance systems, ensuring end-to-end process efficiency.
Oversee the Netsuite development roadmap to improve data flow, system stability, and automation.
Establish governance procedures for system access, change control, and audit compliance (e.g., ITGC audit readiness).
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
Act as the key liaison between finance, IT, and operations to align system priorities with business needs.
Provide training and support to the finance team to maximize system utilization.
Lead a team and collaborate with external vendors to implement new solutions where necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
Strong understanding of finance processes, reporting, and revenue recognition.
Expertise in finance systems such as Netsuite, iTrent, and Salesforce (or similar platforms).
Experience implementing automation tools (RPA, AI, machine learning) to improve finance operations.
Strong knowledge of financial controls, compliance, and audit processes.
Ability to lead complex finance transformation projects from strategy to execution.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to analyse financial data flows and develop integration strategies between multiple platforms.
Experience working in a high-growth, multi-entity environment.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Knowledge of self-service finance reporting tools and business intelligence solutions.
