Care Assistant Mental Health Waking Nights
We're looking for Care Assistant Mental Health Waking Nights in the Trafford area. you will play a fundamental role in improving the lives of people with mental health conditions and a history of substance misuse. You will need to be comfortable supporting people who may at times present with challenging behaviour, full training will be provided. The role may include elements of personal care.

Role highlights:
- Shift patterns include days or nights, part‑time or full‑time. Some weekend working is essential.
- Sleeping nights or a mixture of waking and sleeping nights also available.
- Shift pattern: 8pm–8am.
- Hourly‑paid block shifts.
- Previous experience in a mental health environment is desirable.
- Open to both male and female applicants.
- Pay rate: £13.45 per hour.
- We can consider both drivers and non‑drivers.
- Opportunity to complete NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Social Care (through work‑based learning) with further progression opportunities.

More about the role:
- You will communicate and promote positive behaviour, identifying triggers to prevent escalation.
- You must be prepared to handle emergencies and crisis situations, using de‑escalation techniques to diffuse situations.
- You will demonstrate awareness and sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds and co‑occurring disorders that influence mental health and substance misuse.
- You will be resilient and able to manage the emotional demands of the role.
- You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, social services and community organisations to ensure people receive full access to support services.
