Job Title: Activities Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning, organising, and leading engaging activities and events to enhance the well-being and quality of life of our clients. This role requires creativity, strong organisational skills, and a passion for delivering meaningful experiences tailored to an individuals needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a diverse schedule of activities, events, and therapeutic programs that cater to the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents.
Coordinate with the team, volunteers, and external facilitators to execute activities effectively.
Ensure all activities align with health and safety regulations, as well as Ceras policies.
Engage with our clients to encourage participation and gather feedback to continuously improve activities.
Promote activities through appropriate communication channels within the setting.
Monitor participation levels and prepare reports on program effectiveness.
Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all clients, respecting their individual preferences and abilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in event planning, recreation, or a similar role within a healthcare or residential home setting is preferred.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a compassionate and patient approach.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Creativity and enthusiasm for planning engaging and therapeutic activities.
Proficiency in Google and basic digital communication tools.
Experience:
Experience working with elderly individuals, dementia patients, or individuals with special needs is highly desirable.
