Complex Care Assistant

£14.38 per hour

We're recruiting experienced dedicated and compassionate Care Workers to join our Specialist Services Team to provide care to our clients in and around the Newton Mearns area.

You'll be providing care and support to a gentleman who has suffered a severe incomplete cervical cord injury at level C1/2 resulting in total paralysis of all four limbs and the diaphragm, who's individual needs include:

  • Fully ventilated 24 hours a day and uses both a dry and wet system of ventilation
  • Ventilation is delivered via tracheostomy
  • Our client is NIL BY MOUTH and receives all nutrition and fluids via Mic-Key Button tube
  • Elimination managed by suprapubic catheterisation and bowel regime

Shift patterns:

12 Hours days and night shifts. 3 shifts per week.

We provide a comprehensive clinical training and induction programme, overseen by professional nurses, to ensure you have the skills and confidence to succeed in your role working as a Care Worker in the Specialist Team. We are looking for people who have excellent people skills, are great communicators and can work effectively in a team as well as independently.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience
  • Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle
  • You will be subject to a DBS/PVG check and references
  • The Right to Work in the UK
